Description
We asked a local to put together a 2 week Malaysia itinerary and it turned out great. We spend time on a little island, went diving, enjoyed the beaches and walked through one of the oldest tropical rainforests in the world. In contrast we visited the bustling cities of Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Itinerary:
1. Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur has some nice old buildings in the city centre but the most famous building is of course the Petronas Tower.
You need to get tickets in advance to go up to the observation platform.
Kuala Lumpur offers an awesome mix of malaysian, chinese and indian food and has also a notable nightlife.
2. Perhentian Islands
The islands consists of two islands, a bigger more developed with hotels and a smaller one with hostels and beach huts. We stayed on the smaller one which can be crossed by foot in 15min.
The islands are a great place for diving and snorkeling trips.
3. Taman Negara National Park
Taman Negara is one of the oldest rainforests in the world. It has some very basic accomodations inside the park which we booked together with the transportation from Kuala Lumpur.
We did a day & night safari tour, went up the river with a small boat, visited a village of the natives and went swimming in the river.
4. Singapore
We walked around town into the many food courts, visited the Singapore Flyer, the Gardens by the Bay and Sentosa Island.
